Alps Friday Update

findmeinthealpsHappy new year! Here's what I've been up to:
Festivids: I completed the vid! (Translation: I convinced myself to finally stop fiddling with it and just post it.) I think it turned out pretty nice. Since there's still plenty of time left, I'm now thinking about possible treats. There's one prompt in particular that is basically begging for me to fill it (and I'm certain no one else is going to). Just have to see if I can get a good enough concept together in the time I have left. It would definitely be the most obscure fandom I've ever done anything for.
Let's Play Minecraft: Okay, so apparently it is the season for me to rediscover old fandoms of mine. After playing Minecraft a lot over the holidays, I suddenly found myself getting nostalgic for the old Achievement Hunter Let's Plays. So I, uh, may have done a rewatch marathon of them over the last week, getting all the way up to episode 65 (King Ray). Experiencing the whole Edgar arc in all its glory again has definitely been an experience. These lads may act like assholes a lot of the time but I still have such a fondness for them. I might have to actually continue this and catch up to the present - I know I fell off the bandwagon around the time when Ray left (not because of that though - it was more to do with the general state of the fandom at that time.) It's a lot though. These guys produce such an insane amount of content. I miss being a student and actually having time to waste on this stuff.
And that's it for this week. Barely even left the house to be honest. There's something about New Years that just transforms me into a useless member of society. It's kind of nice though, just doing nothing for a bit. Next week it's back to work and being a responsible adult and all that. Not looking forward to it.
