So, since pillowfort is still being excrutiatingly slow, I guess I'll actually try and set up shop here for a while, possibly.

Which means I should probably make an effort and do an actual intro post. Here goes!

Hi I'm Alps, 27, bi, german, and I make vids. People mainly know me from Gravity Falls fandom on tumblr, where I made a name for myself by basically shitposting a whole lot, and making a few vids that got pretty popular. Since the show ended, I've been trying to branch out a bit, tho that was cut short when I fell into a complete creative funk at the end of 2016 because of the world being a fucked up place.

Then this year I went to vividcon and consequently started feeling the creative spark again. Now I'm signed up for festivids as well as vidbigbang, and I have a list of about 20 different vid ideas I'm really excited about. It's a good feeling.

As far as fandoms go, I hop around a lot. Trying to list all my fandoms would be an exercise in pointlessness. Generally, I like cartoons, sci-fi, superheroes, podcasts, some anime, a lot of movies, sitcoms, dramas, webseries, games, you name it. I often tend to end up obsessing over very obscure shit. My ships tend to be unpopular.

What content can you expect from me? Vids, mostly. Probably a lot of frustrated posts about Sony Vegas. I still don't really know what to do on a site that doesn't do reblogs. I might try to talk about myself, but this is something I find pretty hard. Content might be sparse.

I generally enjoy chatting with folks, so my followers are always more than welcome to interact with me - as long as it's low pressure. I tend to feel overwhelmed by too many online conversations very quickly. So if I don't respond, that's what's happening, and it's not a judgement on your conversational skills or anything like that.
